Il telemetro è uno strumento indispensabile se si vuole ottenere una messa a fuoco precisa, vediamo in cosa consiste.
Il principio è molto semplice, il fuoco corretto si raggiunge quando, osservando nel mirino della fotocamera, si riescono ad ottenere due immagini perfettamente sovrapposte.
All'interno, infatti, è possibile visionare due diversi quadranti, uno molto grande, dove è rappresentata l'intera scena, uno più piccolo dove una porzione della stessa viene riprodotta.
Manovrando la ghiera della messa a fuoco, si potrà osservare come quest'ultima inizi a muoversi da destra verso sinistra o viceversa.
Nel momento in cui riusciamo a far combaciare le due immagini avremo ottenuto la messa a fuoco ottimale.
Un processo semplice, intuitivo ed altamente efficace!
A questo punto sarà molto semplice sapere a quale distanza si trova l'oggetto ripreso, infatti osservando la ghiera del nostro obiettivo potremo misurare, tramite scala graduata, l'esatta posizione in metri, o piedi (ft), dello stesso.
