Sicuramente la Leica D-Lux 5 merita di essere analizzata nel dettaglio, così come tutti i prodotti di questa prestigiosa casa. Ciò va fatto in particolar modo per i suoi innumerevoli vantaggi ma anche per alcuni svantaggi fondamentali che a volte sono determinanti per l'acquisto, specialmente da parte di quella fetta di mercato medio alta a cui si riferisce.
Vantaggi
- Primo su tutti la grandissima qualità delle immagini. Questo è dovuto principalmente alla scelta di sensori CCD e non CMOS da parte di questo marchio. La risoluzione massima arriva a 10.1 Mpx a 3.648 x 2.736 pixel. Certo non un valore pari alle più moderne compatte del settore ma qui parliamo naturalmente di un'altra categoria.
- Le immagini possono essere scattate sia in formato jpg più compatto oppure in formato raw per permettere all'utente finale di poter gestire al meglio lo sviluppo digitale della stessa. Questo dovrebbe essere garantito anche dalla possibilità di utilizzare il software in dotazione Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Davvero un'ottimo matrimonio!
- Lenti davvero precise e nitide con uno zoom che copre un intervallo focale di 24-90 mm, pari ad un 35 mm.
- Raggiunge valori ISO fino a 12800 anche se per avere una definizione eccellente e bene non spingersi oltre il valore di ISO 800.
Svantaggi
- Il costo è elevatissimo per questo tipo d macchina fotografica. Si arriva, a secondo del rivenditore naturalmente, al prezzo di circa 700 euro. Davvero troppo, anche se è vero che la qualità si paga!
- Assenza totale di un mirino ottico. Possibilità, però, di poterlo aggiungere come optional ad un costo non proprio confortante.
- L'interfaccia utente è ricchissima di modalità manuali e di funzioni molto utili ma è graficamente di bassa qualità. Beh questo potrebbe essere un falso problema se l'obiettivo principale è la fotografia ma forse più impegno visto i costi sarebbe stato gradito.

Surely the Leica D-Lux 5 deserves to be analyzed in detail, as well as all products of this prestigious home. This should be done especially for its many advantages but also some disadvantages that are sometimes fundamental determinants for the purchase, especially by the high average market share to which it relates.
Benefits
- First of all the great quality of the images. This is mainly due to the choice of CCD sensors and CMOS not by this brand. The maximum resolution of 10.1 Megapixels to get to 3,648 x 2,736 pixels. Certainly not a value equal to the most modern compact sector, but here we are talking of course of another category.
- Images can be taken in either jpg or more compact in raw format to allow the end user to be able to manage the digital development of the same. This should be guaranteed by the possibility to use the supplied software Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Really an excellent wedding!
- Lenses really precise, sharp images with a zoom lens that covers a focal range of 24-90 mm, which corresponds to a 35 mm.
- Achieves ISO values up to 12800 though to have a good and excellent definition does not go beyond the value of ISO 800.
Disadvantages
- The cost is very high for this type of camera. You arrive, depending on the dealer of course, at a price of about 700 euro. Really too, although it is true that the quality you pay for!
- Total absence of an optical viewfinder. Possibility, however, it can be added as an optional extra at a cost not exactly comforting.
- The user interface is very rich in manual modes and functions very useful but it is graphically low quality. Well this could be a false problem if the main objective is the photograph but perhaps more effort since the costs would have been welcome.
