Bracketing

Many times we have heard of this particular function of the camera but we know exactly what it is? Why use bracketing and what are the advantages of this type of photography?

Start by saying that this use is not really for all occasions, it is good to use this mode when lighting conditions are not exactly the best.

This is due to the fact that the bracketing, from "to bracket" and that "group", is a technique of photography called "fork" by which you can decide which and how many intervals of exposure to divide a single photo .

For example, if we are in front of a landscape and climatic conditions do not allow us to have a correct reading through our light meter, we can decide to use this function to take three or more photographs at different exposures to later merge them into one photo entirely fire and with the right brightness.

It 'clear that to take this kind of photography you need to use a tripod, because even in the short term we will not have many problems, while at longer times there may be a shake-not exactly pleasant.

E 'can use the bracketing function like the one shown in the figure, and choose whether to split the intervals in one stop, stop in 2 or even less depending on our needs.

Not only that, you can decide whether to use these intervals in the rightmost part of the diagram, and therefore the one relative to the high lights, or in the left part and that relating to the low lights.

This type of photography is very useful when you want to make compositions in HDR with deep contrast and high definition.

To merge the photographs simply import them into Photoshop or any other photo editing software, and the process will be immediately and completely automatic.

Of course you will have to be very careful opening of the diaphragm and the setting of the various exposure times for optimum results.
