La Leica M7 fu la prima macchina a telemetro di questa prestigiosa marca ad introdurre fra le sue funzioni una modalità a priorità di diaframma. Naturalmente qui parliamo di metodo classico che non ha nulla a che vedere con il mondo digitale ma che condivide un fascino sicuramente senza tempo.

Questa M7, infatti, è una macchina che farà riscoprire a tutti i cultori della fotografia pura e sempice, il gusto di potersi permettere il controllo totale ed assoluto del mezzo senza alcun tipo preimpostazione. Una volta capito il funzionamento e le sue caratteristiche solo la fantasia potrà fermare la vostra voglia di fotografare.

Vediamone, dunque, le caratteristiche principali:

- Questa fantastica macchina analogica ha una forma calssica ed allo stesso tempo una qualità di assemblaggio eccellente!

- L'uso dell'otturatore e dunque della velocità di scatto, viene controllato tramite un display a led posto sul mirino molto luminoso ed anche molto comodo da visionare, proprio come le più moderne macchine digitali. Tale mirino, inoltre, è dotato di un'ottimo sistema antiriflesso che lo rende molto preciso e versatile.

- La manopola che regola la sensibilità ISO è posta posteriormente, dove le moderne digitali hanno solitamente lo schermo LCD. Questo valore dipende dal tipo di pellicola utilizzata; in modalità automatica a priorità di diaframma e con pellicola DX partiamo da 25 fino a 5000. In modalità manuale abbiamo valori da 6 a 6400, infine utilizzando una ulteriore compensazione dell'esposizione possiamo partire da 1.5 fino a 25000.

- La M7 utilizza obiettivi con innesto a baionetta da 21 a 135 mm.

- La messa a fuoco è totalmente manuale, ciò permette un totale controllo sul soggetto che si sta riprendendo! Certo, questo da molti potrebbe essere interpretato come uno svantaggio vista l'abitudine ad usare sistemi AF. Stiamo parlando, lo ripeto, di Leica dove la parola "classico" non è semplicemente un modo di apparire ma anche uno stile di vita e di perfezione costruttiva. Naturalmente è questione di gusto ma certamente la qualità è reale e si tocca con mano.

- Le dimensioni di questa camera sono di circa 138 mm x 79,5 mm e 38 mm di profondità.

- Il peso di circa 610 gr.

- E' dotata di due batterie a litio, questo perchè a differenza della M6, deve poter gestire anche una parte elettronica che precedentemente non era presente!

- Il prezzo è certamente la nota dolente, solamente 3900 euro in alcuni stores online con obiettivo da 50mm Summicron.

Non una fotocamera alla portata di tutti ma sicuramente una degna compagna di vita e di fotografia che non risentirà di certo dell'avanzamento tecnologico come le più economiche e moderne reflex digitali.

The Leica M7 rangefinder was the first machine of this prestigious brand to introduce among its functions a mode aperture priority. Of course we are talking about classical method that has nothing to do with the digital world but that shares a fascination definitely timeless.

This M7, in fact, is a machine that will discover to all lovers of photography pure and simple on the taste of being able to afford the total and absolute control of the medium without any preset. Once you understand the operation and its characteristics only the imagination can stop your urge to photograph.

Let's see, then, are the main features:

- This fantastic machine has an analog form calssica and at the same time an assembly quality excellent!

- The use and therefore the shutter speed shooting, is controlled via a display LED on the viewfinder is very bright and also very comfortable to view, just as the most modern digital cameras. This viewfinder also has an excellent antireflection system which makes it very accurate and versatile.

- The knob that adjusts the ISO sensitivity is set at the rear, where modern digital usually have the LCD screen. This value depends on the type of film used; in automatic mode aperture priority and film DX start from 25 up to 5000. In manual mode we have values from 6 to 6400, finally using a further exposure compensation can from 1.5 up to 25000.

- The M7 uses objectives with bayonet 21 to 135 mm.

- The focus is entirely manual, which allows total control over the subject you are shooting! Of course, this could be interpreted by many as a disadvantage given the habit of using AF systems. We're talking, again, Leica where the word "classic" is not simply a way of appearing, but also a lifestyle and perfect construction. Of course it is a matter of taste but certainly the quality is real and palpable.

- The dimensions of this room are approximately 138 mm x 79.5 mm and 38 mm deep.

- The weight of about 610 grams.

- E 'with two lithium batteries, this is because unlike M6, must be able to handle even an electronic part that previously was not present!

- The price is certainly a sad note, only 3900 Euros in some online stores with lenses from 50mm Summicron.

Not a camera to everyone but definitely a worthy partner in life and photography that does not suffer from some of technological advancement as the most economical and modern digital SLR.
