Lens flare

Curiosità fotografiche

Come mai il lens flare è così frequente in fotografia?

- ITA -

We have often heard about the problem of "lens flare", but what are the real conditions for this to happen disorder and why cameras are so affected?

Only recently, with the advent of the much desired iPhone 5, has been heard so strongly to this issue, it is actually an effect of this on our cameras for a long time.

The "flare" is caused by a very bright light source placed at the side or in the vicinity of the object taken. If, for example, the sun is on the side of the image, its intense rays may cause a clouding of the whole picture, or create artifacts of circular type, such as rings or bubbles, if the light source is within photo of the box.

It is to say that in the most modern digital SLR, the lenses are constructed so as to obtain corrections to the incoming light and thus allowing the sensor to minimize the noise almost completely.

The lens flare effect is unusual, especially if it is out of sight, to significantly lower the contrast by returning a washed out and not as sharp as the original.

The modern camera lens uses a special coating that dissipates this type of light, also with the proper use of a lens hood and a filter, if everything is resolved quickly.
