Esposizione parziale o spot

La misurazione dell'esposizione ha anche una modalità chiamata "spot" o parziale.

Questa funzione, contrariamente a quella matrix, svolge un compito diverso permettendo al fotografo di utilizzare tecniche più adatte in particolari condizioni.

Prima di tutto vediamo come agisce e poi vediamo in quali occasioni è utile usarla.

Spot, permette di concentrare la misurazione dell'esposizione in una zona intorno al nostro punto di fuoco. Ciò è molto utile, ad esempio, quando dobbiamo esaltare un soggetto in una scena dove vi sono forti contrasti e dove, con un diverso metodo, si perderebbero i contorni dello stesso.

Un tipico esempio è il controluce; se utilizziamo la lettura matrix, ogni parte dell'immagine sarà usata per trovare il valore adatto all'intera scena, se invece utilizziamo la lettura spot, possiamo concentrarci su un singolo punto isolando il soggetto e portandolo alla sua luce migliore e mettendo in secondo piano tutto il resto.

Naturalmente stiamo parlando di una zona molto ridotta intorno al punto di fuoco e dunque è probabile, come controindicazione, che a volte possa essere difficile mettere a fuoco e con l'esposizione giusta, in particolar modo se l'oggetto è in movimento e vi sono cambi continui di luminosità.

E' per questo che in alcuni casi e in alcune fotocamere è disponibile anche la misura "parziale". Essa, infatti, permette al fotografo di utilizzare le stesse modalità che si trovano in spot ma con un allargamento della zona interessata .

L'esposizione spot è generalmente indicata sulle fotocamere con un simbolo dove è ritratto un quadrato nero o bianco con al centro un cerchio bianco o nero, proprio ad indicare le sue caratteristiche.

Al contrario, il simbolo di misurazione parziale è indicata da un quadrato bianco con al centro due semicerchi uno accanto all'altro o uno sopra l'altro. Talvolta al centro vi è anche un cerchio nero.

First of all let's see how he acts and then we see in what circumstances it is useful to use it.

Spot, allows concentrating the metering in an area around our focus point. This is very useful, for example, when we have to enhance a subject in a scene where there are strong contrasts and where, with a different method, you lose the contours of the same.

A typical example is the backlight; if we use the reading matrix, each part of the image will be used to find the appropriate value to the whole scene, but if we use spot metering, we can focus on a single point isolating the subject and bringing it to its best light and shifting the emphasis everything else.

Of course we are talking about a very small area around the point of fire and therefore it is likely, as a contraindication, which sometimes can be difficult to focus and exposure right, especially if the object is moving and there are continuous changes of brightness.

And 'why in some cases and in some cameras is also available measure "partial". Indeed, it allows the photographer to use the same procedures that are found in spots but with an enlargement of the area concerned.

The exposure spot is generally indicated on cameras with a symbol portrait where she is a black or white square with a central circle black or white, just to indicate its features.



On the contrary, the symbol of partial metering is indicated by a white square at the center with two half circles next to one another or one above the other. Sometimes the center is also a black circle.
