Interessante novità da parte di Celestron per la guida del vostro telescopio tramite montatura equatoriale, parliamo del NexGuide Autoguider.

Questo particolare modulo è dotato di sensore SONY ICX404AL CCD da 5,59 mm x 4,68 mm per un totale di pixel effettivi pari a 510 x 492.

I tempi di esposizione vanno da 1 a 4096 millisecondi.

Il NexGuide va inserito nel telescopio guida, come in figura e tramite schermo lcd è possibile controllare e agganciare la stella desiderata.

L'alimentazione è di rete ed a batteria, inoltre è dotato di porta seriale per collegamento al PC, una porta per il collegamento alla guida della montatura ed infine una porta per il collegamento al comando manuale dove sarà possibile impostare ogni tipo di funzione.

Per poter avere risultati accettabili durante la ricerca di stelle guida e successiva calibrazione si deve utilizzare un telescopio con apertura minima di 80 mm. Più questo valore sarà ampio e più il NexGuide impiegherà meno tempo per il suo setup.

Il display LCD è diviso in due aree, una in cui è possibile visionare informazioni tecniche e menù utente, un'altra dove si visualizzerà l'immagine dell'oggetto cercato, sottoforma di punti.

Le fasi fondamentali sono essenzialmente tre:

- Una prima regolazione per la messa a fuoco.

- Individuazione della stella guida e blocco.

- Guida automatica.
