Considero questa Finepix X100 una delle novità più interessanti degli ultimi anni. Presentata al Photokina del 2010, questa interessante compatta dalle caratteristiche di una reflex digitale ha stupito davvero in molti.

Il suo fascino retrò che strizza l'occhio, senza dubbio, alla serie M di Leica, ha già conquistato parecchio pubblico tanto da farla esaurire per un lungo periodo dagli scaffali dei negozi.

Si può tranquillamente affermare che questa X100 sarà gradita sia da un pubblico amatoriale ma anche da quello professionale viste le sue dimensioni e capacità.

A differenza delle sue concorrenti, questa macchina fotografica monta un sensore CMOS APS-C da 12 Mpx e possiede un obiettivo a focale fissa da 23 mm che va praticamente a sostitutire un 35 mm su full frame.

Molti potrebbero storcere il naso davanti ad un obiettivo senza zoom e a focale fissa come questo, ritengo però che sia un chiaro ritorno al passato, dove questo tipo di ottiche, erano al top per quanto riguarda qualità d'immagine. E' proprio per questo che Fuji ha deciso di iplementare questo tipo di obiettivo ed i risultati lo confermano. Oltre ad essere molto nitido esso si rivela estremamente luminoso, infatti ha una apertura massima di f/2 fino ad f/16.

La Finepix X100 possiede un mirino molto interessante con duplice funzionalità. Mentre da un lato è possibile usarlo come classico mirino galileiano, con un semplice spostamento della leva che si trova proprio accando alla lente, sarà possibile passare in modalità digitale e dunque poter far uso di tutte le informazioni utili allo scatto.

La sensibilità ISO varia da 100 fino a 6400 con espansione fino a 12800.

La X100 possiede un pratico schermo da 2,8 pollici LCD a 460.000 in formato 4:3, registra filmati video in HD a 1280 x 720 ed ha un pratico flash incorporato.

Il design di questa camera è molto bello, interamente in metallo ha le classiche leve e manopole di una macchina classica. Si potrà trovare una ghiera manovrabile direttamente da obiettivo per l'imposta zione dell'apertura del diaframma. Due rotelline in alto per il controllo dei tempi e per la compensazione, insieme al pulsante di scatto, dotato di filettatura per il controllo remoto.

L'aspetto è quello di una macchina a telemetro anche se in realtà non è così. La Finepix X100 però ha il grande vantaggio di essere subito pronta allo scatto, infatti non ha bisogno di alcuni secondi di assestamento affinchè l'obiettivo si faccia trovare pronto. E' il vantaggio che si ha ad avere un'ottica fissa di questo tipo (che di solito è possibile trovare sulle reflex digitali) con un sensore APS-C in un corpo contenuto da compatta digitale. Veramente un'ottimo lavoro.

Sono sicuro che in molti apprezzerano questo tipo di fotografia, dove non c'è bisogno di eseguire uno zoom esasperato per coprire il soggetto ma bensì ci si deve spostare, come una volta, per inquadrarlo al meglio. In particolar modo mi riferisco ai cultori della street photography, che non potendo permettersi una stupenda Leica potranno benissimo fare il loro lavoro con questo tipo di strumento.

Beh ora ci si deve mettere solo tanta fantasia!

The Finepix X100 has a very interesting viewfinder with dual functionality. While on the one hand you can use it as a classic Galilean viewfinder, with a simple shift of the lever that is right on the lens, you will be able to switch to digital mode and therefore be able to use all the information you need to shoot.

The ISO sensitivity ranges from 100 up to 6400 with expansion up to 12800.

The X100 has a handy 2.8-inch LCD screen at 460,000 in 4: 3 format, records 1280 x 720 HD video footage and has a handy built-in flash.

I'm sure many people will love this kind of photography, where there is no need to run an exaggerated zoom to cover the subject, but instead, you have to move, as it is once, to frame it best. In particular, I am referring to street photography professionals who can not afford a wonderful Leica to do their job with this type of instrument.
