Lo scatto automatico

La modalità di scatto automatica è sicuramente il punto di partenza di ogni fotografo amatoriale. E', inoltre, l'impostazione a cui si fa più riferimento quando si è indecisi sul da farsi e non si vuole o non si possiede tempo necessario per una riflessione più accurata.

Naturalmente fotografare è un'altra cosa ma sicuramente si deve avere un punto di partenza e questo è il nostro!

Solitamante tale modalità è indicata con un simbolo dato dalla lettera "A" oppure da un piccolo rettangolo di colore verde indicato sulla ghiera principale delle impostazioni posta in alto sul corpo macchina.

E' possibile, inoltre, selezionare una ulteriore impostazione, indicata con le lettere "CA" (Creative Auto) o talvolta "P" (Program), per poter eseguire scatti sempre in modalità automatica ma con la possibilità di variare alcuni parametri. Dedicheremo successivamente un capitolo a questa variazione.

Le fotocamere entry level quali ad esempio le EOS 350d, 500d, 550d e così via, hanno la possibilità di selezionare ulteriori modalità per l'uso in interni, all'aperto, per le macro, per scatti veloci o per foto notturne.

Queste modalità sono sempre automatiche ma permettono di impostare dei preset che ci aiutano in particolari situazioni in cui la gestione della luce deve essere accurata e precisa.

Le fotocamere professionali come le Eos 5d MRKII o la 1Ds non hanno questo tipo di soluzioni, perchè solitamente l'utente di queste reflex non fa uso del set automatico ma si orienta sicuramente verso quello a priorità di diaframma, a priorità di tempi o manuale perchè garantiscono un maggiore controllo sullo scatto finale.

Dire che la modalità automatica basta per fotografare è, naturalmente, falso. Conoscere i tempi di scatto in funzione dell'apertura del diaframma e della sensibilità ISO è fondamentale.

Il gusto per la fotografia verrà solo scattando e una volta esaurite le possibilità di sperimentazione con queste perimpostazioni automatiche, sicuramente si vorrà osare e tentare molto di più, magari rischiando di sovraesporre o sottoesporre il soggetto.

C'è soluzione anche a questo e tanti altri problemi che non faranno altro che farvi maturare e a darvi la voglia di imparare sempre di più.

Usare il metodo automatico vi porterà inevitabilmente a rendervi conto, dopo un pò di tempo, che le immagini saranno desaturate e a volte fuori fuoco, questo perchè purtroppo a volte i sensori delle reflex non hanno l'intelligenza necessaria per capire ogni tipo di situazione luminosa. Questo potete trasmetterlo solo voi con la vostra esperienza e la vostra competenza. E' solo questione di tempo!
